Here are a few tips to decorate your baby’s nursery:

  • Pick a theme that you like and get stuff accordingly. You don’t necessarily have to make it a gender stereotype.
  • Although you want to make it look really cute with various small things, avoid a lot of clutter or it will look more like a mess!
  • Always always use washable wallpaper. It will be much more convenient to clean the wallpaper than to change it!
  • Have enough light in the room and have some small lights that can double up as night lights.
  • Have all the stuff you need for the baby neatly arranged and within arms reach.

  • There is no rule that a nursery can have only baby stuff. You can and you should keep a chair and your study table in there too if you plan to work from home.
  • Do not overstock clothes and diapers because babies grow very fast.
  • Keep the storage simple. Small cloth baskets or cloth bins are a great way to keep those tiny clothes and stuff of your baby.
  • There will be various keepsakes that you will collect over time. Keep them in a separate place in order to prevent them from being lost and to keep them out of reach of your little one.
  • Get a crib that has storage space so that you have more place for wipes and baby toiletries.
